Hi There.  I want to thank you for taking the time to come to Talkeetna Love-Lee Cabins website.  Whether you are looking for a cabin to stay in during an upcoming visit to Talkeetna, or just checking things out to see what there might be available to do in the area, I’d like to welcome you.  As a new business owner, I am well-pleased with the reviews we had in 2015 and with the great times we were able to share with all of our guests.  I look forward to an even better 2016 season for several reasons.

Last year was a tremendous learning curve for me, as it was for all of the great folks involved with the building of the cabins, opening of the operation, and delivery of excellent service and quality accommodations to the many visitors that came to Talkeetna.  I guess you could say last year was a win-win for everyone.  We’d like to keep that trend alive;  Being located right on the bike path along the Talkeetna Spur Road sparked the idea that we should have bikes available for use, especially since so many great things to see and do are “right around the corner” and a much more enjoyable way to  get there would be by bicycle.  We’ll have the ability to book many of your local tours for you right from our property so that you can spend more time enjoying Talkeetna and less time in line and on the phone trying to schedule a time to see Talkeetna.  And then there is the new screen house for enjoying a campfire and mingling with guests, not mosquitos, right next to the barbeque grilling station.  I can’t begin to describe just how excited I am to be able to offer a more complete experience and TLC to guests as you choose to spend some of your time with us on your trip of a lifetime!  These are really some great things happening!

Once the snow is gone and the sun and warmer temperatures begin to grace us here at the 62nd latitude, we’ll be busy working to get Cabin 4 started, and making room for all sorts of flower planters and hangers to add more color to the already beautiful surroundings.  I have been looking forward to getting flowers planted ever since I decided to start building cabins 4 years ago and its finally going to happen this year.  I can smell them now…”ahhhhh”

Back to the present, as I sit here in Bethel, Alaska getting ready to hit the rack for another day’s work (I am an electrical construction foreman in the off-season), I’m thinking about how quickly March is going to be upon us.  TLC is opening for the season March 4, 2016, just in time for Iditarod Weekend, with subsequent weekends bringing the Oosik Ski Race and Trio Fat Tire Bike Race to Talkeetna.  If you’re planning to be in town for one of these events, we’re offering winter prices until May 15.  And to let you in on a little secret…”LIKE” our Facebook Page and you can book your cabin directly from Facebook and save an additional 10% off of your reservation.  How’s that for a great deal?

Thanks again for checking in with TLC.  I’ll keep you posted on progress as it happens, and we all look forward to your staying with us at your “Home Away From Home”!

Kind Regards,

Rodney
